COLLEGE INTERNAL COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE (CICC)

The CICC cell at rit is formed at rit as per the directions from the Principal based on VTU Circular to CICC in the academic year 2022-23.

 

OBJECTIVES

The main objective of CICC is to prevent discrimination and sexual harassment, by promoting harmony and creating awareness among employees and students

• Familiarize with the guidelines and circulars issued by Governing bodies (such as the Supreme Court, UGC, DTE Karnataka, and VTU) at various stages related to acts of discrimination and sexual harassment at the workplace.
• Organise orientation programmes to empower the members of CICC
• Organise workshops and awareness programmes at regular intervals to sensitise the employee and students in the college.

 

Roles and Responsibilities of College Internal Complaints Committee

1. Implementation of the Anti–Sexual Harassment Policy at the workplace and prevent discrimination.
2. Create awareness at the workplace by way of  notices, workshops, seminars, etc.
3. Create awareness of the policy framework amongst all primary stakeholders.
4. Provide a safe and accessible mechanism of complaint to the victims
5. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of any proceedings of the Committee
6. Recommend appropriate redressal and punitive action against the guilty to the Management.
7. Display the names and contact numbers of the chairperson and members on the college website and on the notice board of the college.
8. The committee shall meet at-least once in a semester (beginning of the academic year) and as and when necessary
