The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is a force for innovation, sceintific study and impact. It was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students in the year 2008-2009 and from the year 2014-2015, it enhanced the intake from 60 to 120 students for the Bachelor of Engineering with total of 600 graduates. It also offers Master of Technology course in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 24 students. It has consistently ulfilled its role of producing Computer Engineers ready to meet the demands of IT world. The department has always attracted the best of engineering aspirants from all over the country.

The department has a team of highly motivated faculty members, who are in the process of tuning the young minds to make them globally competitive. Innovative methods of teaching and learning process are adopted to achieve learning abilities through practice, exposure and motivation. The department has excellent computing facilities and provides a conducive environment to promote academic excellence in the department.

The faculty members of the department have published their technical papers in several National and International conferences and also in Journals. Along with teaching, the department is actively involved in organizing various activities like Faculty Development Programs, Seminars, Workshops, etc. The department aims to establish as a Center of Excellence in Education and Research in the field of Computer Science & Engineering to facilitate the transformation of students into good human beings, responsible citizens and competent professionals.

The Department of CSE is bustling with activities throughout the year and students are provided with a myriad of opportunities and platforms to showcase and enhance their technical knowledge. The department activities conducted are focused on imparting technical knowledge along with its application in the practical world and making students industry-ready. Simultaneously personality development of students is also given priority.
Our department is successfully conducting technical seminars & workshops for students in the emerging areas of Information technology by inviting industry experts to deliver sessions related to the syllabus and enables the students to get industry exposure.

Department club “CIPHER” facilitates activities and competitions such as quizzes, coding competitions, treasure-hunt to inculcate the skills of our students. Various programs such as Hackathons and Technical camps are conducted with the association of our CIPHER club to extend the overall development of students and give them a practical orientation to instill employability skills which will help them to face this competitive world.

The department encourages students to conduct and participate in extra-curricular/sports activities. The department indulges students to learn subjects with more hands-on sessions and encourages students to take up MOOC based online courses in NPTEL, Coursera, Udacity, and edX. The department actively conducts regular parent-lecturer interactions to ensure the parents are kept informed about the conduct and performance of students.
