Roles and Responsibilities:

The Member Secretary is responsible for conducting regular meetings of the Academic Council, occurring at least once a week or when necessary. The agenda’s preparation falls to the Member Principal, who requires approval from the Head of the Institute. For a valid meeting, a minimum of atleast half the members is essential. If it is not attained within the first half-hour, the meeting adjourns to a later convenient date. In the adjourned meeting, if a quorum is still absent within the initial half-hour, the present members establish a quorum and proceed with the meeting.

  • Reviewing University-prescribed courses of study, academic regulations, curricula, and related modifications. Providing considered opinions, comments, and modification requests to the affiliating University for their deliberation.
  • Establishing admission regulations for various study programs, in alignment with University and Government norms.
  • Formulating Regulations in harmony with university standards for the organization of Continuous Evaluation Assessments (CEA). Initiating strategies to enhance teaching quality, student evaluation, and the student advisory system.
  • Developing policies to enhance Teaching-Learning Processes (TLP) within the Institute. This includes promoting innovative teaching methods, integrating ICT tools for teaching, identifying educational needs, and addressing them.
  • Creating regulations for sports, extracurricular activities, and overseeing the proper upkeep and functionality of playgrounds and hostels.
  • Recommending new study program proposals to the Governing Body for consideration.
  • Suggesting the institution of scholarships, studentships, fellowships, prizes, and medals. Developing regulations for their fair distribution.
  • Advising the Governing Body on matters pertaining to academic affairs.
  • Cultivating a culture of faculty engagement in Sponsored Research, Industrial Consultancy, Continuing Education, and related initiatives.
  • Undertaking any additional responsibilities as delegated by the Governing Body.

In fulfilling these responsibilities, the Academic Council contributes to the comprehensive development of the institute’s academic environment and quality standards.

  • To create the awareness about Anti Ragging act and punishments among the students and the appropriate law in force.

Grievance Redressal Committee has been reconstituted on 12.12.2023 to redress the grievances and complaints of the students.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The function of the cell is to look into the complaints lodged by any student, and judge its merit. The Grievance cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment.
  • Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the department members in person, or in consultation with the class in-charge.
  • In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell at Administrative Block. Grievances may also he sent through THE LINK on institute website or Member Secretary of Students* Grievance Cell.
  • The cases will be attended promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students. The Grievance Cell will act upon those cases which have been forwarded along with the necessary documents.
  • The Grievance Cell will assure that the grievance has been properly solved in a stipulated time limit provided by the cell
  • The cell formally will review all cases and will prepare statistical reports about the number of cases received.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Cell in an institute promotes the special interest of students in the reserved category and to provide special inputs in areas where the students experience difficult.
  • The cell regularly has to conduct remedial coaching classes on life skills, personality development, writing assignmentsand making presentations and also have to organize interactive sessions and informal meetings with students to attend to their personal, social and academic problems.
  • The SC/ST students can approach the Members of the Cell for redressal of any grievance(s) regarding academic, administrative or social problems.
  • The Committee Member will meet the concerned students, understand their problem and take necessary action and/or render them necessary advice/help to resolve the matter.
  • Committee often meets the students and faculties belong to SC/ST communities, to understand their problem and take necessary action and/or render them necessary advice/help to resolve the matter.
  • Creating awareness among the SC/ST students regarding the various Government and Non-Government scholarship schemes.

Analyse information on admissions, education, training and employment of SC’s and ST’s; prepare reports for transmission to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, AICTE and such other authorities as may be required.
  • Function as a Grievances Redressal Cell for the grievances of SC/ST students and employees and render them necessary help in solving their academic as well as administrative problems.

  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) committee is responsible for managing the implementation, administration, and utilization of an ERP system within the institution.
  • Concerning the faculty profile: Assist all the faculty members in the respective department in updating their profiles in the software.
  • Concerning the Academic Planning Module: Assist all the faculty members in the respective department in preparing units/syllabus and adding sessions, map students to sections, map students to batches, and map students to elective subjects in the software.

  • In general, assist faculty members regarding any doubts or queries pertaining to the use of the software in all aspects.

  • Organize social service work groups and clubs as well as outdoor service activities, to encourage and involve students in social service activities.
  • Arrange discussions and workshops of group of students on a regular basis on issues of social importance, ethical relevance and moral values.
  • Educate and Organize Health check-up camps, Blood donation camp and other social activities for the college students at the campus, also at rural / urban areas.
  • The Chairman / coordinator should conduct meeting with committee members and prepare list of social activities along budget to be conducted and execution.

  • The cultural committee shall organize College Annual Day Fest “SWARIT”.
  • The Cultural Committee-shall be responsible for all intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the College.
  • Plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year. (Calendar of Events should be planned priorly)
  • Budget should be prepared for all cultural events and take necessary steps for its approval from the Management through Principal.
  • The Chairman of the committee shall conduct meeting at regular intervals, discuss and assign task for enforcement.

 

For Organizing cultural event following points should be considered                  

    • Permission should be taken from the principal to arrange program.
    • Date, time and agenda of the program should be priorly decided.
    • Budget for the cultural event should be prepared planned before execution.
    • Invite the Chief Guest and other dignitaries in concurrence with the Management/ Principal.
    • Inform all stakeholders regarding the event to be conduct in advance.
    • Arrangement of the venue, logistics (audio/video system, dais, podium etc), mementos for guests and gifts/certificates for the participants
    • The information regarding the event should be displayed in the Notice Board/ College Website.
    • Any events should be arranged in coordination with Students coordinator.
