State Scholarship Portal (SSP)

SSP Scholarship is an initiative taken by the Government of Karnataka to provide financial aid to engineering students. It offers pre-matric and    post-matric scholarships to SC/ ST, Backward Classes students.

 

1. Scholarship for Engineering Students

Eligibility:

• Karnataka students studying engineering in Karnataka.
• The candidate must score at least 50% in their previous examinations.

2. For All Category OBC Students: (Offered by Backward Classes Welfare Department)

• Eligibility: The annual family income must not exceed 1.5 lacs.  
• What do you get?: Yearly Rs.19,200 only

 

3. For SC-ST Students (Offered by Social Welfare Department)

• Students through only CET are eligible.
• Eligibility: The annual family income Rs.10,000 to 2.5 Lakhs.
• What do you get?: Yearly CET Tuition Fee only 

 

4. For SC-ST Students (Offered by Department of Technical Education)

• Students through only CET are eligible.
• Eligibility: The annual family income Rs.2.5 Lakhs to10 Lakhs
• What do you get?: CET Tuition fee of that academic year

               (E-attestation of parent’s salary certificate)

 

National Scholarship Portal (NSP)

5. Scholarship for Minority students

• The annual family income must not exceed 1.5 lakhs.
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.50,000
• How to Apply? : NSP portal: https://scholarships.gov.in/

 

6. Department of labour welfare

• Applicable only for children of daily wages workers
• The annual family income must not exceed 01 lakh.
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.50,000 only
• How to Apply?: ONLINE

 

7. Scholarship from Youth Empowerment and Sports Department

• Only for students who represented in District/State Level Competitions
• The annual family income must not exceed 1.5 lakh.
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.25,000 only
• How to Apply? : OFFLINE MODE

 

8. Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled-Scholarship

• The annual income must not exceed 2.5 lakhs.
• What do you get: CET Tuition fee of each year.
• How to Apply? : OFFLINE MODE

 

 

9. Scholarship for Children of Ex-Army Staffs

• No limit on annual income
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.15,000
• How to Apply? : OFFLINE MODE

 

10. Scholarship from Department of Railways (only for children of railway department employees)

• No limit on annual income
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.20,000
• How to Apply? : OFFLINE MODE

 

11. KSRTC Employees Educational Fund.

• What do you get: Yearly Rs.10,000 only
• How to Apply? : OFFLINE MODE

 

12. Scholarship from COFFEE Board, Bengaluru

• Applicable only for children whose parents are working at any Coffee Curing Works
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.12,000 only
• How to Apply? : ONLINE

 

13. Teachers Scholarship from Education Department

• Only for students whose Parents are working Government Teachers
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.10,000 only
• How to Apply?: OFFLINE MODE

 

Non-Government Scholarships

1. Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship (Both CET and Management students)

• The annual family income must not exceed 2.5 lakhs.
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.30,000
• How to Apply?: OFFLINE MODE & ONLINE

 

2. Scholarship from Dharamshala Rural Development Project (Sujnana Nidhi)

• Applicable only for children of members of Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project
• The annual family income must not exceed 1.5 lakhs.
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.11,000
• How to Apply?: OFFLINE MODE

 

3. Scholarship from R L Jalappa Foundation. (applicable only for Veerashaiva Lingayat students)

• No limit on annual income
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.20,000
• How to Apply?: OFFLINE MODE

 

4. Scholarship for Arya Vysya, Ediga and Arasu Community Students

• The annual family income must not exceed 1.5 lakh.
• What do you get: Yearly around Rs.20,000 only

5. Scholarship from Arihant Charitable Trust, Bengaluru

• The annual family income must not exceed 1.5 lakh.
• What do you get: Yearly Rs.25,000 only
